The actor who played this character, [[Biski Gugushe]], also portrays two other characters in the [[Re-imagined Series]]: a reporter named "Eick" (ostensibly named for series co-executive producer [[David Eick]]), and a second reporter, [[Sekou Hamilton]].
The pilot, canonically, [[Unnamed characters (RDM)#Colonial One co-pilot|is not named in the Miniseries]].


Humorously, in the DVD commentary for the miniseries, [[Ron D. Moore]] and David Eick point out that Gugushe is one of the best extras they have, but he got no speaking lines whatsoever for the role of the pilot. They jokingly quipped of the actor's non-verbal skill, in that the actor always ''looks'' as if he wants to say something while in the cockpit, but always thinks better of it and keeps silent.
