Storm of the Century Hits Caprica is a The Caprican News article written by Ann Royall. It was printed in Februarius 11, YR42.
Story
It took just twenty minutes last night for Caprica City's most powerful lightning storm in history to rip through the streets. It appeared as if out of nowhere and then, just as quickly, it was gone. Dog howls and car alarms could be heard echoing through the city after the lightning had ceased. Thirty homes were damaged in the city and surrounding areas when the nearly one hundred strikes hit. Minor injuries were reported but, thankfully, no one was killed. Power outages were reported in several parts of the city but power was restored within several hours. Where were you when the storm hit? What was is like for you? The Caprican wants to know. Sound off in the comments below!
Notes
Continuity
- According to a City of Caprica Department of Public Works worker Jonas Malkas, this storm held back construction of the Colonial Highway 5 for "a good month or so." (The Caprican: "Road Work on Colonial 5 Nears Completion")
