Bootes was a human resident on the planet Equellus, who was one of those terrorized by Red-Eye. Bootes was the brother of Vella and the uncle of Puppis. He apparently knew enough about Colonial Warriors to at least understand what they did, as well as Martin himself. Bootes tried to convince the marooned Apollo to eliminate Red-Eye, however Apollo rejected because he wanted to be cautious. Unfortunately, Bootes, after being angered by his property's unlawful appropriation by Lacerta, died at Red-Eye's hand. He was the last known person to be terminated by the Cylon before its elimination by Apollo. (The Lost Warrior)
