Lanceman was an Eastern Alliance military officer on board Leiter's Eastern Alliance destroyer, and like the rest of the crew were involved with the failed effort to capture and obtain the Vipers and their pilots (Greetings from Earth). He was eventually processed to the Prison Barge, but escaped with the rest of the Eastern Alliance prisoners back to the Alliance-controlled Lunar colonies (Baltar's Escape).
