Zara is an Inter-Fleet Broadcasting employee and well-known host of several news and biographical type shows like "Warrior of the Centare" (which features Lieutenant Starbuck for one of its episodes) (The Man with Nine Lives).

She is seen again talking about Starbuck, interviewing Chief Opposer Solon concerning Starbuck's charge of terminating Flight Sergeant Ortega.

Her summation of Starbuck's career being ended by a false charge enrages Starbuck, causing him to damage the visual scanner in his cell (Murder on the Rising Star).
