Isabelle Adama was the mother of Joseph Adama and Sam Adama and was a native of Tauron.

During the Tauron Civil War, Isabelle and her husband William were members of the Ha'la'tha resistance. The Adamas were involved in activities, the last of which involved blowing up a Heracleides grain silo. William believed this was a bad idea, but Isabelle disagreed.

In 88 BCH (12YR), William inked Joseph on his Ink Day, and Isabelle and William informed their children of their participation in the Ha'la'tha, and the importance of the Tauron mark.

In the night that followed, a member of the Heracleides militia was killed outside their home. Heracleides soldiers led by Lieutenant Kolibri entered and found the deceased Herac's gun and cubits hidden under Sam's bed. Unbeknownst to the elder two Adamas, Sam had pilfered the dead soldier's body after he and Joseph heard the shooting. The Heracs brutalized and killed Isabelle in an attempt to force William to divulge information. Before William could succumb to his torture, Joseph used the stolen pistol to kill not only the Herac soldiers but, later, his father to protect the Ha'la'tha. Having fled from their deceased parents' home, Sam and Joseph become orphaned, falling in with the Guatrau ^{(CAP: "The Dirteaters")}.

Sam retains a well-worn monochromatic photo of his parents, perhaps the last surviving photographic evidence of their life ^{(CAP: "False Labor")}.
