A dedication ceremony is a religious event held in temple for a newborn child that is similar in principle to the concept of a baptism.
Nora talks of Cally's dedication ceremony for the Tyrols' new son, Nicholas Tyrol (The Resistance, Episode 4).
Sister Tivenan dedicates the infant Tyrol to the service of Lords of Kobol Ares and Apollo at his dedication ceremony with this blessing:
