Sergeant Haals was a Colonial Warrior attached to the Arcta expedition to eliminate the Ravishol Pulsar. While fleeing the crash-site of their shuttle, the ex-prisoner Wolfe fought with Haals. As a result of that quarrel, Wolfe obtained Haals' laser pistol and, by accident, managed to destroy the snowram's power pack.
Haals was injured, but recovered enough to be involved with the attack on the Cylon garrison. (Gun on Ice Planet Zero)
