Lt. Tucker "Duck" Clellan is one of the best Viper pilots serving on Galactica, an ace several times over with forty confirmed kills. Upon the discovery of New Caprica, Duck and his domestic partner Nora, hoping to start a family, decide like much of the Fleet's population to settle on the planet.

Shortly after the Cylon invasion and occupation of New Caprica, Duck is approached by Galen Tyrol and James "Jammer" Lyman, in an attempt to recruit him into the human resistance force that is slowly taking shape to combat the Cylon occupation (The Resistance). Duck declines due to his love and commitment to Nora and their plan to start a family.

However, Nora is killed during a Cylon raid on the New Caprica Temple, spinning Duck into a suicidal depression. He joins the resistance and infiltrates the New Caprica Police (NCP). Destroyed by his grief, Duck agrees to and successfully executes a suicide-bombing mission on an NCP graduation ceremony (Occupation).

Notes

  • Christian Tessier's last prominent role in a SF series was as Marmaduke "Megabyte" Damon, in the 1992-95 revival of the British series The Tomorrow People.
