Destruction of Armistice Station during the Miniseries

The Armistice Station is a remote space station. Annually it is attended by an Armistice Officer, who happens to be Boxey's father.

A few items of interest are visible on the officer's negotiation desk in the center room of the Armistice Station:

Destruction

Armistice Station is dwarfed in size by the Cylon basestar that pays it a visit. In a fitting choice for the opening salvo of the Cylon attack, the basestar attacks and destroys Armistice Station. The Armistice Station section of the Miniseries article discusses this peculiar circumstance.

Science fiction fans may see the Armistice Station as a very short-lived parallel or acknowledgement to the purpose of the Babylon 5 space station in the popular TV series, "Babylon 5."
