The Sons of Ares are a militaristic fundamentalist group, dedicated to Ares, the God of war.
Members of the Sons of Ares attack the Cult of Baltar, described by William Adama as "brutal" (Escape Velocity).
The group later has a hostile confrontation with Baltar's Cult over food supplies (Deadlock).

- In the original draft for the beginning of season four, Tom Zarek was behind the Sons of Ares and encouraged its attack on the Cult [1].
