Lieutenant Oliver "Fanboy" Bead was a Raptor pilot who was killed in action during the 10th year of the First Cylon War.

The circumstances of Bead's death were never elaborated, but he was killed just prior to Ensign William Adama's arrival, as deckhands were replacing the port side window of Wild Weasel and ECO Coker Fasjovik had been cleaning out the Raptor.

Fasjovik considered Bead an "asshole" when explicitly correcting Adama on his assumption that Bead was Fasjovik's friend ^{(TRS: "Blood and Chrome")}.

Notes

The name and callsign are taken from the port side Raptor nameplate stenciling, as Bead was never referred to by name during Adama and Fasjovik's conversation.
