William Adama was the father of Joseph Adama and Sam Adama and was a native of Tauron.
Adama, along with his wife, are killed during the Tauron Civil War that propelled their surviving children, Joseph and Sam, to emigrate to Caprica during their youth.
Sixty-nine years before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, Joseph named his only son after his father (CAP: "Caprica pilot").
