Kacey is a young girl whom Leoben Conoy claims is the genetic offspring of himself and Kara Thrace.

According to Conoy, Thrace's ovary was recovered from the remains of the farm that was destroyed by the Caprica Resistance (The Farm). An egg was fertilized with Conoy's genetic material and was implanted in a human woman, who carried it to term; the surrogate mother died in childbirth, but Kacey survived.

Prior to revealing the child's existance to Thrace, Conoy holds her in a secured "apartment" on New Caprica (Occupation). When the child is introduced, Thrace is understandably uneasy around the child, but appears to show genuine concern when Kacey has an accident and requires medical attention (Precipice).

After rescue to Galactica Kacey was returned to her biological mother (Exodus, Part II).

Kacey's true nature is not known, but it is doubtful that she is a human-Cylon hybrid such as Hera, given the Cylon's difficulties in procreation.
