Kacey is a young girl whom Leoben Conoy claims is the genetic offspring of himself and Kara Thrace.

According to Conoy, Thrace's ovaries were recovered from the remains of the farm that was destroyed by the Caprica Resistance (The Farm). The ovaries were fertilized with Conoy's genetic material and the fertilized egg was implanted in a human woman, who carried it to term; the surrogate mother died in childbirth, but Kacey survived.

Prior to revealing the child's existance to Thrace, Conoy holds her in a secured "apartment" on New Caprica (Occupation). When the child is introduced, Thrace is understandably uneasy around the child, but appears to show genuine concern when Kacey has an accident and requires medical attention (Precipice).
