"Hex" is a the callsign of a Viper pilot in the Fleet, stationed on Galactica.

The character is first mentioned by Dualla in "Maelstrom" as being dispatched alongside Hotdog as backup for Captain Kara Thrace and Major Lee Adama as they chase a Cylon Heavy Raider, which Thrace claims to see, through the atmosphere of a gas giant. Hex is mentioned again in "The Son Also Rises".
