Crew Chief Tiu is a senior deck chief aboard the battlestar Galactica during the first Cylon War circa 42 BCH (58YR).

Tiu oversees the ordnance loading for Raptor 909 prior to William Adama and Coker Fasjovik's mission. When questioned about the light armament package - which includes communication drones and missile decoys but only two Archer missiles - Tiu explains that they are short on air-to-air missiles. He directs Coker Fasjovik to take up any concerns with the Ordnance Chief if he has problems with the allocation.

When Adama asks about their cargo weight specifications, Tiu cryptically suggests they ask "it" themselves, referring to the approaching Dr. Becca Kelly, their civilian passenger.

After his recovery from Djerba following the Ghost Fleet Offensive, newly-minted Viper jock Adama joins Jenna McGavin, Nina Leothe, Deke Tornvald and Tiu for a drink in the hangar deck ^{(TRS: "Blood and Chrome")}.
