Serge was the robot butler of Graystone Family at their Caprica home 58 years prior to the Fall of the Twelve Colonies. Much more primitive than his contemporary, the experimental Cyber Combat Unit (and the later Cylons), Serge was nevertheless capable of managing household tasks like granting and denying access to visitors and remote controlling home operations. His non-humanoid design (marked by a single, circular eye) was similar to other robots of the time including targeting drones for weapons accuracy and reaction time test for prototype U-87 combat robots (Caprica pilot).

- Serge was voiced by Caprica editor Jim Thomson.
- It is not known if Serge-type robots are common on Caprica or if they are exclusively used by the Graystones, however, nonplussed reactions from visitors who interact with Serge indicates that they are not wholly unusual.
