Therion is a Mercury class battlestar under the command of Commander Burkett during the events preceding and following the Fall of the Twelve Colonies.
Therion is home to Ghost Squadron, a Colonial special air wing and black operations unit. Prior to the Fall, Therion is ordered to Aquaria to provide security for the Colonial Fleet's test of Medusa, a new nuclear warhead delivery system.
When word of the Cylon attack against the Colonies reaches Therion, it prepares to join the flight, but is surrounded by no less than three basestars and already infiltrated by no less than two humanoid Cylons (Battlestar Galactica: Ghosts 1).
