Colonial Day is an annual holiday celebrating the official signing of the Articles of Colonization in 52 BCH (48YR) (TRS: "Colonial Day").

Members of the Colonial Fleet consider its celebration to be patriotic, as Commander William Adama replies to President Laura Roslin that he would be nowhere else during a celebration of said holiday (TRS: "Colonial Day").

Notes

  • While Colonial Day is akin to celebrations surrounding Independence Day in the United States, it celebrates the ratification of important documents akin to the ratification of the U.S. Constitution.
  • The holiday is not mentioned again after the episode, suggesting that it has been abandoned or simply diminished in the succeeding years of the Fleet's sojourn.
