Alan Hughes Gaius Baltar's lawyer. He is the one responsible for sneaking the pages of Baltar's manifesto My Triumphs, My Mistakes off Galatica and disseminating them to the Fleet's population. He is described by Cally as a "snazzy high-priced lawyer" and makes frequent trips to Galactica to meet with his client.

He is killed when a bomb explodes under his seat in the Raptor meant to shuttle him back to the Fleet. It is later revealed that the bomb was planted by Galactica Landing Signal Officer Cpt. Aaron Kelly (The Son Also Rises).
