Gunnery Sergeant Mathias is the Marine who leads Sharon Agathon's Marine escort on New Caprica as part of Admiral William Adama's rescue operation.
She and her team repel a Cylon ambush on a prelimary meeting between Agathon and the New Caprica Resistance under Samuel Anders.
