As an interesting note, in the original scene where President Roslin is discussing the strategic ore with Admiral Adama and Colonel Tigh, there is a voice=over by Snake in which he (judging by the voice) is killed by Scar. Obviously this is not canon because he is later mentioned as Jo-Jo's wingman much later in the episode. | As an interesting note, in the original scene where President Roslin is discussing the strategic ore with Admiral Adama and Colonel Tigh, there is a voice=over by Snake in which he (judging by the voice) is killed by Scar. Snake is the callsign of a pilot who flies as Jo-Jo's wingman, when Jo-Jo is killed by Scar. Snake survives the engagement and reports Jo-Jo's death to Galactica.
He is assigned at short notice to replace Captain Thrace when she feels that she is in no condition to fly (Scar).
