Ruth is the mother of Shannon Adama a.k.a. Shannon Adams.

In 58 BCH, she lives with her son-in-law Joseph Adama and her grandson William Adama on Caprica after the terrorist bombing of the Lev claims both her daughter's and her granddaughter's life (Caprica pilot).
