Rock Star is the callsign of a Viper pilot assigned to battlestar Pegasus who participates in the stand-off between Pegasus and Galactica (Resurrection Ship, Part I).

The callsign suggests a parallelism between the Twelve Colonies musical tastes and that of the real-world Earth, although the series' events are deliberately left ambiguous as to whether they occur in Earth's past, present or future.
