A Cylon personnel carrier is a variation of the Cylon freighter outfitted for the transport of troops and war matériel. Owing to its mission profile, it is both heavily armored and weaponized.

The Maytorian Trojan Horse

Freg happens upon a loaded personnel carrier at the Cylons' Central Command on Maytoria that, with Starbuck's and Boomer's assitance, evacuates the less-than 200 surviving Maytorians from the beseiged colony (^{(Comics: Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 1 #4)}).

Unbeknownst to the humans, the Maytorian IL and platoons of Command Centurions stow away in the Trojan horse, leading to the short-term capture of Galactica (^{(Comics: Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 1 #5)}).
