The character's name is seen on the pilot's organization board as Admiral William Adama changes the CAG assignment in honor of Captain Louanne "Kat" Katraine (The Passage). Since he, like Katraine and Captain Kara "Starbuck" Thrace is a squadron leader, his rank can be safely inferred to be Captain as well.
