Captain Raymond "Raygun" Lai was a Viper pilot in the days of the Mark II. Kara Thrace inherited his Viper Mark II (tail number 8547) during the flight from the Cylon-occupied Colonies.

- Raymond "Raygun" Lai can be seen on the Air Group Organization Chart, in the flight led by Kara Thrace (The Passage). This is clearly a gaffe.
