Maldonado is a marine who accompanies Laura Roslin and Gaius Baltar to the rebel Cylon basestar (Guess What's Coming to Dinner?).

Maldonado was among the marines who participated in the mutiny led by Felix Gaeta. Admiral Adama accused him of having a "big mouth", and during their struggle, Adama shot Maldonado to death.
