The Press is the generic name for the rag-tag group of journalists that have developed newsletters and talk wireless media news venues throughout The Fleet, such as the Fleet News Service (Final Cut) and the talk wireless show, the Colonial Gang (Colonial Day).

While President Laura Roslin tends to utilize them to her benefit at times and has a good relationship with the press corps (Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part II, Home, Part I), neither Commander Adama or Colonel Tigh are particularly good with managing the depth and candid questions that the press throws at them (Home, Part I).
