An infectious Boomer cavorts with other pilots at Apollo's bachelor party (TOS: "Lost Planet of the Gods, Part I").

The Otarsis virus[1] is an illness that infects Boomer and Jolly after their scouting mission to the Otarsis Quadrant asteroid.

After Boomer and Jolly skip a required visit to the decontamination room, most of Galactica's Colonial Warriors are soon exposed and overcome by the illness, requiring Dr. Salik to work overtime not only in returning the pilots to duty, but to save their lives (TOS: "Lost Planet of the Gods, Part I").

Unable to derive a cure on the battlestar, Salik returns to the asteroid and discovers a cure for the disease (TOS: "Lost Planet of the Gods, Part II").
