This is a Battlestar Wiki descriptive term.
The Cylons use an organic resin as a major structural component of their their Basestars. The resin is applied to metal a viscous black paste. In its' mature state, the resin is compared to cartilege. The resin is also compatible with colonial hulls. (No Exit, Deadlock)
