- Commander Adama has suffered a grievous injury and is unable to lead his people when they need him most. On a strange world where penitents worship derelict star craft, Apollo has made a shocking discovery. And the relentless Cylons have pursued the Galactica... to sue for peace!?[1]
Plot[edit]
Meclon Attack[edit]
- Delta 1 reports to Lucifer regarding their aggressors. Lucifer orders it to reevaluate the situation, not believing their aggressors to be Cylons.
- Lucifer orders Attack Pattern Omega to repel the assault, and comes to the conclusion that their aggressors are Cylon in nature. Begrudgingly, he commands retreat after their aggressors engage in kamikaze runs.
The Planet[edit]
- Apollo, Starbuck, Boomer and Sheba reflect on the expansive impact crater before them, believing it to be thousands of yahrens old. Sheba voices her belief that the ship that crashed there may have belonged to "The Ancient Ones." Starbuck itches to leave the planet, reflecting on the denizens ability to give him "the creeps."
- Baltar announces his presence and, despite Starbuck's desire to assault the traitor, reveals that he was summoned to the planet from the "quiet little world" that Adama had stranded him upon[2] by a force unknown to him.
- Uniquely divergent Cylon Raiders attack the group, and their welcoming committee begins their escape away from the forces. The Warriors head towards their Vipers, which are quickly destroyed by their attackers.
- The Warriors are lead towards caverns, while Starbuck aims to reach a Raider that makes its landing, hoping to commandeer the ship for their own purposes. Apollo orders both him and Sheba to stop their efforts, and follow the rest of the wayward denizens to their hiding place.
Adama's Mind[edit]
- In Adama's mind, the events of the Battle of Cimtar play out differently than he remembers. The attacking Cylons are stopped in their tracks by a Ship of Light.
- As Adama endeavors to inquire as to the happenings about him, Count Iblis appears and informs Adama that the events never played out that way. He remarks that the Seraphs, had they cared enough for humanity, would have saved their race instead of allowing their civilization to be destroyed.
- Adama challenges Iblis, who responds that he is fulfilling his promise that "we would meet again" at "another time, another place."
The Planet[edit]
- Lead further into caverns, Baltar reveals that they are being lead to the site of the very first vessel that crashed there. Much to their shock, it is a ship that mirrors Iblis' ship and the bodies around it are those creatures that bear Iblis pig-like visage.
Galactica[edit]
- Tigh is alerted to the approach of Lucifer's basestar, surmising that they followed Galactica through the black hole.
- At Tigh's order, Rigel scrambles their Vipers, lead by Flight Sergeant Jolly. Much to their surprise, the Raiders are not breaking to attack.
- On Galactica, an incredulous Tigh is informed that the Cylons wish a cease fire and seek sanctuary in the Fleet.
Notes[edit]
Timeline[edit]
- The events of this comic take place after the Battle at Galaxy's Edge depicted in "The Hand of God."
Incongruences[edit]
- Vipers are seen launching from a side bay, instead of launch tubes.
