The Domia system[1] is an uncharted binary star system discovered by the Fleet during their journey ((ComicsNo Place Like Home)).[2]

The system is relatively small, consisting of two suns and fifteen planets. Long-range scans by Galactica indicate that at least two of the planets are habitable and that the system is rich in tylium deposits ((ComicsNo Place Like Home)).[2] The binary stars generate a significant amount of solar interference, making reliable long-range scans of the system's outer perimeter difficult ((ComicsHades Hath No Fury)).[3]

Upon its discovery, the Council of the Twelve votes to halt the Fleet's journey and establish a permanent colony on one of the habitable planets, which they name Domia. This decision is made against the strong objections of Commander Adama, who fears the Cylons will eventually find them ((ComicsNo Place Like Home)).[4]

The attempt to colonize Domia ends in disaster when the settlement is attacked by the native Domia creatures, forcing the Colonials to abandon the planet and the system ((ComicsFire in the Sky)).[5]
