Silver Spar Squadron is an elite Viper squadron that serves as part of the Colonial Fleet.

History

edit

Originally serving aboard the battlestar Pegasus under the Commander Cain, Silver Spar Squadron is integrated into Galactica's forces after Pegasus is declared missing in action following the Battle of Gamoray. This integration brings Galactica's Viper complement back to full strength ((ComicsColonial Technical Journal, Volume 1)).[1]

Operational History

edit

Prior to the Battle of Molecay, Sheba fakes Silver Spar's launch codes to single-handedly engage Cylon fighters before her Viper is shot down ((ComicsDaddy's Girl)).[2]

The squadron is often tasked with critical missions. When long-range scans are hampered by the solar interference of the Domia system's binary stars, Silver Spar Squadron, led by Athena and Bojay, is sent to patrol the outer edges of the system ((ComicsHades Hath No Fury)).[3]

During a massive Cylon attack, Silver Spar Squadron, under the command of Bojay, is instrumental in the defense of the Fleet. They engage a large Cylon force, regrouping and fighting alongside Blue Squadron ((ComicsFire in the Sky)).[4]

After leaving Domia behind, Silver Spar Squadron, led by Bojay, helps Starbuck rescue Apollo after he crash-lands on a planet where he meets a unique Centurion ((ComicsCenturion)).
