Athena is a Lieutenant in the Colonial Fleet, serving as a bridge officer and Viper pilot aboard the battlestar Galactica. She is the daughter of Commander Adama and the sister of Captain Apollo and Lieutenant Zac.
History
editAthena is a prominent member of the Galactica's crew, often on the bridge during critical operations. However, she eschews her bridge duties to join the search party to find her missing brother, Apollo, demonstrating her skills as a pilot and her unwavering loyalty to her family ((Comics: Search for Sanctuary, Part 1)).[1]
In "No Place Like Home," Athena is shown to have a romantic relationship with Starbuck. The two have a dinner date, where their flirtatious dynamic is on full display ((Comics: No Place Like Home)).[2] However, this relationship causes friction with Cassiopeia, who confronts Athena on the bridge. The confrontation escalates to a physical altercation before Sheba intervenes ((Comics: Hades Hath No Fury)).[3]
She is seen in a vision by her younger brother, Zac, by the Beings of Light who inform him of his special destiny. In the vision, Zac sees a future where Athena is a warrior, flying alongside her brother and father ((Comics: Eve of Destruction)).[4]
