An external access cover for a Viper's computron circuits, between the upper and port engine housing (1980: "Spaceball").

A computron is a Colonial term for computer.

It is used in Galactica 1980 with the introduction of the navigational computron, the navigational computer within a Viper (1980: "Galactica Discovers Earth, Part I"). Xaviar later sabotages Galactica Probe 1's onboard computron, forcing Troy and Dillon to perform an EVA to bypass its circuits (1980: "Spaceball").

The term is most often used in association with the wrist computron, a device worn on the wrist capable of translation and invisibility (1980: "Galactica Discovers Earth, Part I").
