Bittamucin is a drug used to cure and as an inoculant against Mellorak infection.
Bittamucin has a high success rate against the infection if administered within 48 hours immediately after the onset of symptoms, in conjunction with a day's bedrest.
As supplies of the drug were relatively low, bittamucin was limited to those who were visibly asymptomatic and key crew members of Galactica, including Karl Agathon.
This drug was allegedly given to Willie King and other Sagittarons by Dr. Michael Robert, however blood work done on the deceased showed that Robert administered poison instead of this drug (The Woman King).
