Al is the sound operator and driver of the United Broadcasting Company camera van Brooks requests of Anne. Brooks goal is to get an exclusive interview with the reclusive Doctor Donald Mortinson, who despises the media, via Jamie Hamilton.
When Mortinson, with Troy, Dillon and Jamie Hamilton, drive off, Al is tasked with pursuing the car. Brooks' zealous pursuit of the story eventually leads to a full scale car chase that involves the police (Galactica Discovers Earth, Part II).
