Colonel Ben Lancaster is a United States Air Force character from the shooting script for "Spaceball," whose scenes never made it to the final cut of the episode.
In the script, Lancaster is the one who tells Colonel Jack Sydell that there are public relations reasons for Air Force Special Detachment One other than finding UFOs or aliens from space.
