Starla is one of the children born during the 30 year flight from the Twelve Colonies of Man.
Born on a ship, she and other children in the Galactican Fleet are instructed on the school ship Delphi. In 1980, she and eleven other children are the first to settle on Earth, becoming the first Super Scouts (1980: "The Super Scouts, Part I").
She has an affinity for sports, particularly baseball and basketball, and has "the arm of Nolan Ryan" according to UBC camerman Hal Fredricks (1980: "Spaceball").
