Walt Griffin is the father of Willie Griffin, the young boy who discovers Dillon and Troy's Vipers in a field, after their invisibility field loses power.

Griffin is skeptical of his son's claims made over dinner, however he later investigates the field where his son claims to have seen them. After a while searching in the field during nightfall with flashlights, Griffin threatens to discipline Willie for making up stories, until he sees the ships himself and subsequently notifies the local authorities (Galactica Discovers Earth, Part II).
