Additional Information

The shuttle Canaris makes runs between Rising Star and various other craft in the Fleet. The shuttle is laid out much like a common flight, with two rows of seats on each side of the shuttle, as well as a scanner behind every pair of seats.

Chameleon and Siress Blassie traveled on Canaris to get to Rising Star; Chameleon had hoped to escape the Borellian Nomen who were on a blood hunt for him ^{(TOS: "The Man with Nine Lives")}.

Notes

• Constantine Canaris was a Greek admiral, freedom fighter and politician, who gained fame during the Greek War of Independence (1821-1829 CE).
• The model of Canaris appears in multiple Buck Rogers in the 25th Century episodes as a shuttle, including "Unchained Woman," "Cruise Ship to the Stars," and "Ardala Returns."
• Canaris' passenger section is a re-use of the swing set that first appeared as a passenger compartment on Rising Star in "Saga of a Star World", where Apollo meets up with Serina and Boxey.
• In keeping with other uniform emblems' real-world origins in the series, Canaris' emblem is a re-use of a U.S. Army World War II Hawaiian Department unit patch.
