Dave is a top cameraman for United Broadcasting Company.

With Al and Mr. Brooks, they follow Jamie Hamilton as she meets Dr. Donald Mortinson out in front of the police station. They attempt to get him on film in an interview with Hamilton, who is secretly miked-up.

Later, when Mortinson, Troy and Dillon (with Hamilton in tow, much to their chagrin) attempt to get away from the UBC people, Dave is responsible for capturing the subsequent car chase—which later involves the police after Dillon manages to get the car on two wheels.

Dave later films Brooks in front of the restaurant Dillon crashes the car into as Brooks reports on Dr. Mortinson's "attempted kidnapping" ^{(1980: "Galactica Discovers Earth, Part II")}.
