Summary Herded into a confined area of space, the The Fleet must pass within close range of a lethal Cylon pulsar cannon—unless an expedition from Galactica can assault the ice-bound fortress housing the weapon. Apollo, Starbuck, and Boomer lead a team of cut-throat demolitions and cold-weather experts (and the stowaway Boxey). Along they way, they encounter the misguided human scientist who originally built the weapon, as well as his legions of clones. Quote Adama: There's not all that much difference between you and your fellow convicts and us. We are all living for the promise of freedom, and we're all threatened by a similar death. Summary As Viper pilots go missing, Apollo, Starbuck and Sheba come across a lone, enigmatic survivor. Much to their amazement, he claims that he can help them in their quest. Quote Iblis: You're searching for a place called Earth. Adama: My son told you that. Iblis: You are of the House of Kobol. Your tribes are scattered. The Thirteenth journeyed to Earth several millennia ago. Adama: Tell me about their civilization. Iblis: It has known great rises and falls. Adama: Who are you? Where are you from? (a pause, then:) Is their civilization strong enough to help us defeat the Cylons? Iblis: Your people will be safe... under my leadership. Adama: Did I hear you correctly? Summary The mysterious bright lights return again, transporting the bewildered Apollo to the planet Terra to avert war with the Eastern Alliance. Exposing a plan by the devious president, Apollo has Starbuck warn Galactica, which lends the protective powers of its shields to avoid planetary holocaust. Quote Apollo: That's very funny. At least you have a sense of humor. John: In my job, dealing with primitive cultures, it's an absolute necessity.

Summary Starbuck encounters long-lost love Aurora amidst a mutinous rebellion aboard the Celestra. Quote The morale of the fleet continues to rise, due in part to the increasing number of habitable planets we are encountering, and the reintroduction of some of the amenities our people enjoyed before the destruction of the colonies. Summary Commander Adama decides to quit running from the Cylons, and launches an all-out attack on a basestar. Quote Colonel Tigh: She [the basestar] carries three hundred fighters. Starbuck: (to Boomer) That's what I like about the Colonel... his optimism.
