Deacon is a Viper pilot in D Squadron, tasked with running decoy missions against Cylon base ships to deflect the Cylons attention while Galacticans conduct their clandestine missions to develop Earth.

After participating in the Battle for the Agricultural Ships, Deacon flies a decoy mission when Captain Troy and Lieutenant Dillon make way to Earth to begin agro settlements (1980: "Space Croppers").
