Major[1] Grimsley is the United States Air Force officer who oversees the guarding of the three Galactican Vipers at Van Nuys A.N.G. Base, following their recovery from a California meadow where Willie Griffin played.
Grimsley organizes the guard detail at the base. He orders that no one, not even their own people, go near the ships, noting that teams from Wright-Patterson and Washington are going to arrive "first thing in the morning." It is after these orders are given that Xaviar, dressed as an Air Force guardsman, enters his Viper under the cloak of invisibility and begins recharging the energizers of his Viper via the base's generator, an event that this major witnesses.
Troy and Dillon (with Jamie Hamilton) also recover the other two Vipers, after Xaviar launches away with his recharged Viper. During these vents, Colonel Mason brings Dr. Donald Mortinson to the base, arriving just after all the craft are gone (1980: "Galactica Discovers Earth, Part III").
Notes[edit]
- The name for this character comes from the name plate on the character's uniform, which can be seen briefly as Grimsley stands next to Colonel Mason to Willie Griffin in the meadow.
