Overview

Admiral William Adama questions whether or not Sharon Valerii's pregnancy should be aborted. Meanwhile Roslin's health declines rapidly as a pro-Cylon peace group attempts to sow civil disobedience within the Fleet.

Summary

  • President Roslin is near death, and Billy Keikeya is preparing Vice President Dr. Baltar to succeed her.
  • Dr. Baltar manages to save her by using stem cells from Caprica-Valerii's unborn child.
  • According to on set reports from filming at SFU in Vancouver, this episode will feature an extended flashback into events on Caprica the day before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, leading up to Secretary Roslin being told she has cancer. The flashback will also contain Dr. Gaius Baltar, and Number Six as the "physical" ("real") Number Six that Baltar thought was human. It may even finally reveal the identity of the mysterious individual that Number Six started talking to in the Mini-series: After leaving Baltar, Number Six looked at someone who wasn't in the camera shot (the camera focused only on Number Six) and she said "I wondered when you'd be showing up", but the identity of who she met has never been revealed.
  • There is a movement brewing within the Fleet to make peace with the Cylons. Agents of this movement severely damage the FTL engines of the Tylium refinery ship.
  • Baltar secretly allies himself with this movement, supplying them with a bomb.
