The Caprica Interplanetary Spaceport, also known as Trojan Spaceport, is a facility located within Caprica City, Caprica. It provides off-world flights to locations within the Twelve Worlds including destinations to Picon, Gemenon, and Tauron. The spaceport's official abbreviation is CCX (CAP: "End of Line," "Retribution").
Members of the Soldiers of the One cell led by Barnabas Greeley, including Pann, Hippolyta and Lacy Rand, attempt to bomb the facility some fifty-eight years before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies. The terror attack, however, is botched when Rand is caught by a spaceport security guard who is promptly shot by Pann. Unable to plant their explosives in time, the three STO flee in a getaway car driven by Keon Gatwick. The Caprican Global Defense Department is tasked with investigating the incident, with Agent Jordan Duram suspecting Sister Clarice Willow's involvement (CAP: "Retribution").
Notes
- The Caprica Interplanetary Spaceport was filmed at Simon Fraser University in Surrey, British Columbia. Photos of the location show set dressings labeling the port as "Caprica Inter-Colonial Spaceport". [1] The computer-generated exterior included architecture from the Incheon International Airport in South Korea.
- Several ships bearing identical or near-identical configurations to ships seen in Battlestar Galactica appear docked at the spaceport. Among them are luxury liners of the same design as the Olympic Carrier and a passenger ship bearing a striking resemblance to Colonial One. A Phoenix-type jet, unique to Caprica, is also visible in the exterior shot of CCX.
