Brock Peters (born as George Fisher on July 2, 1927, died August 23, 2005) was an American film and television actor.

The former George Fisher, a child of West African and West Indian heritage, began his show business career at the age of 10. Fighting poverty as he grew up in Harlem, Peters attended the the famous Music and Arts High School in New York City.

After landing a role in the stage play, Porgy and Bess in 1953, the actor quit his physical education studies to go on tour with the show. Soon, this success led him to a role in the film Carmen, and later to To Kill a Mockingbird, where the actor began to use "Brock Peters" as his stage name.

He was the voice of Darth Vader for the National Public Radio adaptation of the original Star Wars trilogy.

Since Mockingbird, Peters had generated an extensive and diverse film and TV role history throughout the 1960s to his last role in the TV show JAG in 2005. Significant roles include his involvement in Roots: The Next Generations.

Peters is a Star Trek alumnus, portraying Admiral Cartwright in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, and on the TV series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as Joseph Sisko, father of the station's commander and series central character, Benjamin Sisko.

In the Original Series, Peters portrayed Sire Solon, a Chief Opposer in a murder trial (Murder on the Rising Star).

Peters died of complications from pancreatic cancer on August 23, 2005.
